Collection of 25 Days of Christmas Poetry

Poetry Excerpt #1

The Christmas moment

The moment

Has come
For all children
To love and enjoy
This time of year
To dream of wonderful things

Christmas trees
All lit up
Stockings are hung
Presents under the tree
Makes the children
Dream of magic of Christmas

Glancing out the window
To the stars
Above
Wishing on one
And in hopes
Of seeing Santa Clause

On cold winter nights
All tucked in their beds
Fast asleep
With pictures of candy canes
And toys dancing
In their head

The moment
Has come
For all the children
To love and enjoy
The season
Where wonderful things
Happen and
Their dreams come true.

Poetry Excerpt #2

Christ is Christmas

A king was born that night
None knew what great love
The King was to show
They heard the prophecy
That He was the Son of God
That He was sent here
To die on the cross

Jesus was born
For us to celebrate life
To be saved
If only we believe
In our hearts

As Jesus grew
He walked this earth
Teaching of great things to come
Curing the sick
Helping the needy
Showing true love and care
To God’s children

Here on Earth
Jesus was born
And on the dreadful day
Jesus took to the cross
For our sins

For His sacrifice
Has given us
A second chance
To have the best gift of all
Eternity with His Father
In the heavens above
For Christ is Christmas!
