Friday Review: The Giver
7:30 AM
Jonas's world is
perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain.
There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community.
When Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to receive special training
from The Giver. The Giver alone holds the memories of the true pain and
pleasure of life. Now, it is time for Jonas to receive the truth. There
is no turning back.
The Giver, let's
see. I've been waiting to read this from when I first heard about
this back in high school and even more when I seen the movie trailer.
I finally read it. I was a little disappointed. I still enjoyed it
but I felt like there was something missing.
The lead character was, to me what keeper me going. I found that this story did have many important messages throughout the pages but I found that some parts were a slower pace then I'm use to. So with this in mind there's was part of the book that I was like, wow I didn't see that come; witch is one of my top must have for books. Over all for a classic story I found it good and enjoyable. There was parts of the story that made the story's plot a whole; webbing all the parts together.

If you have read The Giver, what did you think of it?
