Excerpt one:
WILHELM

Wilhelm only saw Abby, safe and sound for a mere second; she’d looked exactly how he remembered, so normal and innocent and yet, he knew she wasn't anymore… Then Wilhelm had felt it. Something irresistible, a gem from his world had appeared. What in all hades? Something most trolls would kill and slaughter for. So what is it doing appearing here? All his attention was pulled toward it like a cat to catnip. It was in the middle of the road, suddenly appearing in the blink of an eye as he’d watched an overgrown Halfling dive for the gem and then his Abby trying to rescue the kid and not the stone —a dumb human move considering the stone’s value over the Halfling, and so Abby. She ran into the road and he was about to watch the person who'd sentenced him to the knight world die. Yet something inside him rocked, and tore at his insides.
No!
One moment, a truck was speeding toward her and the next, Wilhelm hadn’t known what was coming over himself. This would foolishly expose him before he had a foolproof plan, but he couldn't help it. Feeling Abby’s emotions and the emotions of every human nearby, he pushed to use it all to propel his body. He shot out fast, past all the other Halflings, past Michael who was almost about to get hit too as another like him, a Halfling named Kayla, was pulling him back and screaming franticly. All of this was going down in the blink of an eye, as Wilhelm pushed to get between the truck and Abigail, with a big vehicle coming toward his flesh.

Excerpt 2:
ABBY

Abby was still, frozen for a moment and shocked, in dangerous territory she knew, but wanting to believe his words; as if he was really on her side against everyone. She loosened for a moment as he held his lips to her own and he kissed her hard. His mouth began to move as their kiss went from frozen and awkward to suddenly wanted, and welcomed to prove that he could really be Leo, and intense.
He pulled her closer to him and growled as she let him do this and she began moving her mouth too, hungry, and raw. She held onto his warm body and kissed him back. Her tongue threatening to brush his own as his warmness was so like everything she wanted and needed to feel too, even though she knew it was wrong. The colder she grew, the more he held her and his hands came around her body, and then...
She pushed him away!

Excerpt 3:
WILHELM
All traffic seemed to come to a stop as people were screaming, and Wilhelm, right as people were coming for his motionless body, took a breath. He could feel Abby’s shock, pain, grief, and confusion at seeing him there in the road. He used it, absorbing every emotion that was going through her mind as her eyes fell on him. She could barely register that this was Wilhelm, her old friend and foe.
He only let himself look at her pale face, her beautiful tousled hair messily covering part of it, for a second. Her pouting lips and confused blue pool-like eyes. Then he propelled himself up and toward the most powerful thing he could latch onto, Trey’s dropped leafy colored stone. Wilhelm grabbed it fast from him as its pure royal magic hit him all at once in a wonderful rush, enough to heal his body without even tricking anyone as the chrysolite in his hand released tendrils of power.
He could have effected and used anyone there he wanted with it, maybe even Abby, but instead, he took off, choosing to be gone before she could say a word; including his old name.

Excerpt 4:
Abby was the only one still looking up as guests went back to dancing and demanding more caviar and ‘champs’, most of them underage. Abby's charm bracelet was rattling as, taking a step back, she accidentally stepped on someone’s foot, hard.
‘Oh sorry,” Abby said as she turned around and her eyes met a very broad tall chest. A chest that even under a white buttoned down shirt she could make out had nice toned muscles. Too nice… Abby looked up at the guy's super tall height, three buttons undone at the top of his shirt revealed some kind of markings.... Tattoos.
Her eyes took in an eagle’s mask next on his way over six foot frame, one that exaggerated perfect sharp and masculine cheek bones, and through his mask as he looked down at her... she saw bright green eyes; as green as Sofia’s necklace. Wilhelm!
“No problem. You find what you're looking for out here?” he asked sarcastically. Then he took a step closer. “Like the troll you setup to get killed tonight even after he delivered the heaven stone…” And then as other girls eyed him even as they danced with others—girls and some of the guys— suddenly, Wilhelm was grabbing Abby and pulling her close. His one hand catching her flickering wrist, stilling it; the other moving around her back as he pulled her to him, and before she could call out his name, he was spinning her into a dance.

Review of Coffee and a Classic

Coffee and a Classic book subscription is great for any book lover!

Where do I start? This has everything a bookworm needs! This box has a classic book, a snack and comes with a hot drink either Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate. For the box I got in January it was The Three Musketeers. I LOVE The Three Musketeers, I've seen movies, shows, re-telling-ish and so on. I haven't read the classic story, so now that I have this beautiful book, I NEED to read it now.
Along with this wonderful blue cover book, is a candle, I enjoy white candles there a nice classic feeling to it and it smells good; for me its smells kind of classic. I get an old english-ish tint to it; overall enjoy it.
Next, I pulled out the jar. It's amazing! It's a hand painted jar. It took me a few days to work out what I wanted to use it for and then it hit me, I'll use it to hold my tea. So, I have tea I DON'T share and the jar is perfect to hold a few bags of tea that I plan on using for that week, looks great too! The box also has a bookmaker, simple yet fits the story, has The Three Musketeers logo, like it. The string it nice, don't feel weak and looks great! The candy bar, 3 Musketeers, (I never had a full size only the little ones I get around Halloween so it was yummy!) it also came with three chocolate covered pretzel! (By the way, those are one of my all time favorite sweets!) There was also a tea, that smells so good. Haven't tried it yet, I need to get tea bags. Last but not leas is it comes with a little notebook. I write all the time, so whenever I can get another notebook, I will! For this notebook, it's a simple black print but I LOVE it!
Over all, I love this box! This is great for any bookworm. A subscription that brings a classic and bookish goodies to your front door! All the info is right down below so you can go and order February's box for yourself, or maybe even a friend!

Fate of Amber by Kerri Ann Release Tour

Title: Fate of Amber
Author: Kerri Ann
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: January 16, 2017
Shoan.
I’ve lived a thousand lives.
I’ve lived and screwed my way through the ages without ever finding love for my hardened soul. It’s not mine to find; or at least I thought. Her dark red hair, her flashing green eyes, and that piercingly happy and light attitude caught me the moment I saw her in the airport.
If I thought she was going to be my redemption, would I have chased her, or avoided her as much as possible?
Athena
Twenty nine. I wanted to enter the dirty thirties in a whoring, and dangerously dark sinister way. One night of drinking too much, a conversation about things I know nothing about, and an ill thought out plan of escape turned into a bigger adventure than I’d ever dreamed of. Sure, I wanted a sweaty, broad chested, tall and handsome darling to bring me to my knees. In more ways than one, I got more than I bargained for.
When the fates align, can hearts endure? Will theirs?
"For my first PNR romance read I couldn't have asked for a better story. This story has twists and turns in every chapter and each character is something special." - 5 Star Review from Candi "I can't wait to read more from this author." - 4 Star Review from 2OCC Reviews

Quiz: Which Animal Has Your Personality?

I got: You have the personality of a ferret

Part of you loves being left alone, and the other part loves hanging out with friends and exploring. You are prone to reading, helping friends out in a bind, and overall a pretty cool person to be around. Looking for another ferret friend? Meet Jane, of MY LADY JANE, who's ability to turn into a ferret turns out to be the one thing that can save her life.

 My Thoughts!

I would have to agree with. It does sound like me. I really like being alone. Gives me time to read, do blog posts, watch whatever I want and to write. Some people don't understand why I love being alone. But I do enjoy hanging out with my people too. I do read, (hint this blog) but I do help out my friends lots; I've been told I need to learn how to say no. But over all I am glad with this quiz.

Please feel free to take the quiz and share it here with me or Tweet me! I'd love to know what you go!

 photo Anticipated Reads of 2017_zpsxac9mge3.png

I thought last year was going to be an amazing book year but I could be wrong! There are so, so many books hitting the shelves this year that I can't wait to dive into. It was hard getting it down to my top ten. But there they are! Once and For All by Sarah Dessen, I've read all but two of Sarah Dessen's books and I want this one so much! It sounds like a classic Dessen book that will being so much feelings, and that's what I love about her. I've been reading her books since I was fourteen and always will. The Last of August by Brittany Cavallro I LOVE the first book and can't wait to see wear this story will take me next. I love re-telling, pre and after of classics books, Cavllro knows how to tell this kind of after Sherlock Holmes story. Always and Forever Lara Jean by Jenny Han, Oh my. Where do I start, I thought I had said goodbye to this world and characters, I am over the moon with joy to dive back in!
The Book Jumper by Mechthild Glaser, I only know a little about this book. I first saw the cover on Twitter, -Feel in love with it- and then looked it up and fell even more in love with it. It's about a girl named Amy, she moves from Germany to Scotland, when there she learns shes a book jumper. She can ENTER books! I mean, what! So, I am already madly in love with it. Traitor to the Throne by Alwyn Hamilton and if you have not read the first book, Rebel of the Sand, (What are you waiting for?) I'm madly in love with this book, these characters, the style of this world and writers... it just. WONDERFUL! So, I NEED to get my hands on books two. Stranger The Dreamer by Laini Taylor, -I love this cover- I've heard good things about it. I know it's an epic fantasy that has to do with dreams. I've read Laini Taylor's writing before, enjoyed it. Can't wait for enter this one.
Caraval by Stephanie Garber is one I've been seeing EVERYWHERE. I want... no need to read this so I can see what everyone is talking about. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth. Now, I know there are been some up and downs in this story and about how people are feeling about this book. But I still really want to read it because one, I love Veronica Roth's writing, two it sounds good, and three I would rather read it and have my own thoughts about it rather then not reading it because of what others are saying about it. Wires and Nerves by Marissa Meyer. Surprises there's a Marissa Meyer's book on this list. I love her, her writing and the worlds that she makes; knowing this is in the Lunar Chronicles world; I'll LOVE it because I love Iko, these characters and this world.

This next book could be my number one most Anticipated read for this year and that is Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings. I WANT this book, NEED this book. Once I hear about this book I knew I was going to love it and when I read the 62 page e-book I was right! I love both of these authors and over the moon happy that they got a publishing deal; and that we get to dive farther into this world!
