Top Ten ALL TIME Favorite Authors
J.K. Rowling! You never saw that one coming! ;) So, I've love her writing and have for years. She is one of the main reasons I feel in love with writing. It's simple but amazing. Her writing style brings her stories so alive in my mind its just... aaa, I can go on and on about how wonderful I find her writing but I won't there are more writers to see on my list!
William Shakespeare.... Oh what can I say there is this little story called Romeo and Juliet! I say it is one of the all time best love story. This was the first story by William Shakespeare I have read many others and love them too. The way the words follow and how lovely they sound when reading them or hearing them I just enjoy the stories he's written.
Sarah Dessen she could easily be my favorite teen girl YA writer! Because each of her stories are different yet her writing stays similar. Each one comes with different lessons, lead characters and plot that I can't help but fall in love with each book I read of hers.
S.E. Hinton was one of the first Young Adult writers I read growing up. I love the classic feeling I get when read her stories. I enjoy how different they are but still face problems that teens and lifestyles from around that time. I've only read a four of her book all are lead guys written by a women and I love that.
Meg Cabot! Other then the Harry Potter series The Princess Diaries was the series I finished. And one of the first teen girl books I feel in love with. Meg Cabot books are different from one to the next. Her books are enjoyable yet faces teen problem that show in different plots and character ways.
Marissa Meyer is quite a new writer but I love, love her! Her books are just so, so more then amazing. I've enjoy every book I've read so far in The Lunar Chronicles her writing styles is breathtaking. There's so many characters each brings there personality to the plot of each book!
Judy Blume! I've read different kind of books by Judy Blume from teen to kids, she it one of those authors who can write for kids, per-teens and teens and still carry great characters, life lessons while still being about to bring out the smile in the readers.
Rainbow Rowell! Even though I've only read to of her book. I feel in love with the way she can bring characters to life. Fangirl was my favorite book I read last year. There is just something about that story that I just love to much. I can't wait to read more of her books.
John Green is my go to for bitter sweet stories. The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska were two that I read last year that made me cry. I just love his writing and the way he brings feeling out and make you feel what the characters are feeling. There's just something about his writing, characters, plots, quotes, and lessons that I love.
Louisa May Alcott I read Little Women in my early teens one of the first books that I ever cried over. Their is nothing like this classic writer. Even though I haven't read every one her. She is one that I believe is simply amazing. The way the plots are told, her characters. When I want a great classic Little Women is one of the first ones I go to.
Stephenie Meyer.... So, I must say I wasn't a huge fan of the last book in the Twilight series but I love book one, liked book two and three was good. But I've also read part of Host and enjoy that. Her writing is simple but in a way that draws you. That's what I felt about Twilight (book one) I read it in just a few days during a summer I was traveling. Host is on my summer reading list and hope to read it.
As you can see there is mix of older authors to new authors on this list and I hope to branch out even more adding new and older authors to my list of books I've read. This was one of my favorite Top Ten's while being one of the hardest. I can't wait to read the others and see who made other bloggers list!
Share your links with me, I'll be happy to read them!

Great list. I read lots of S.E. Hinton books in high school.
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteWhat one would you have to say was your favorite? Rumble Fish was one I read more than once.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Reading!
I really need to try something by John Green and Sarah Dessen. I've been eyeing both authors but I've always been very hesitant to try their works. I've never read the Harry Potter series but I am loving JK Rowling's crime fiction which she wrote under her pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Nice list! :)
